The Storm Is Upon Us
12/10/2020 (Permalink)
No one knows exactly how 2020 is going to end. The best we can do is to look at the years prior and the storms we have already weathered.
We have endured massive flooding, roof collapses, downed trees, frozen pipes, earthquakes.
Considering all the events we've already seen this year; I think it's best we get prepared for them all.
Here are some pre-storm-prep ideas to inspire you and get you going on a disaster plan of your own.
1: flashlights
2: batteries
3: canned protein like beans, tuna, chicken at a minimum.
4: water one gallon per person per day minimum 3 gallons is better
5 know where your gas and water shut off valves are
6: if you know your roof is in rough shape but tarping ahead of time with 4 or more bricks to hold it down
7: plenty of food for your animals, don't forget water for them too.
8: extra doses of medications if your insurance only covers so much you can pay out of pocket and good Rx will save you money (or other programs like it)
9: If you are so inclined, you can buy a generator to keep your fridge and a light source running. make sure to you have the proper cords to hook everything up. Keep extra gas on hand.
10: Do not forget the toilet paper and feminine products
